MOTIVATION

Growing the eSports scene 

We as Africans are under-represented in the eSports scene as a whole and we want to change that. We have the talent, the players, passion and commitment to compete worldwide. We will be driving this in a massive way, as an eSports academy/ organization as one of the flagship deals of the DAO

Africa 

Why focus on Africa for gaming? Because the potential is massive!  According to recent reports, the African gaming market is expected to reach over $1 billion by 2025, with a growing audience of over 200 million players. It's time to tap into this untapped market and support the growth and development of the African gaming scene. 75% of all Africans are under the age of 35, representing a big growth opportunity!

Decentralized / blockchain gaming & Sports

Decentralized and blockchain gaming are revolutionizing the gaming industry by leveraging the power of decentralized technology. This new technology offers players and creators more control and ownership over their digital assets, leading to new and innovative ways of monetizing their passion. For example, virtual real estate and in-game items can now be bought, sold and traded on the blockchain. This opens up new doors for players to earn value from their gaming experiences and creates a more equitable and transparent gaming ecosystem. GOVERNANCE AND STRUCTURE

The Project Prodigy DAO will consist of a DUAL STRUCTURE, a token holder governance entity and an operational entity. The operational entity will be incharge of our Flagship project : Esports academy and org The Two structures will be the Project Prodigy DAO and The Prodigy Hub.

The Prodigy Hub will be responsible for  the daily operations of the Projects Esports side. For example interacting with the players, building and managing  the esports rosters, hosting events, onboarding of gamers etc. The Prodigy Hub will launch a NFT collection for the eSports side and offer holders voting rights in some of these day to day activities (not governance or ownership in any assets of the DAO ), for example what tournaments to enter etc. Giving NFT holders some great IRL utility and making them part of the community, ‘management’ etc.

The Project Prodigy DAO will be the overarching governance entity of the Project and owner of the assets ( in gameNFT) etc.. All token holders with a staked percentage of tokens will be able to participate in the governance via voting, putting forward proposals, discussions etc.

Every stakeholder ( someone/project/team who has a staked amount of tokens) can put forward discussions, proposals and vote on these proposals.

By utilizing our holders, gamers, fans and supporters we can build something incredible. We are aiming to be an esports org and lifestyle brand. Representing different countries across Africa and giving all an opportunity to participate in tournaments and eventually represent Africa on a global scale. No more ‘world championships’ without an African org representing us.

Tokenomics

Governance - All token holders with staked tokens will have the opportunity to vote in DAO votes, open discussions and form part of the governance of the DAO. Working together and sharing expertise as a collective.

CAPITAL AND FUNDS 

Funds raised in our different funding cycles and different funding rounds will be used to give the Project Prodigy DAO runway to achieve certain goals and become self-sufficient. Funds will be allocated towards purchasing certain NFT assets, in game assets and those used to give gamers the opportunity to use the assets, ( also a big part of value creation for the DAO as the NFTs are owned by the DAO).

Setup of esports academy/ organization, sports management agency and marketing agency.

Also through proposals and voting, funds will be allocated to where the DAO members/ stakeholders deems necessary.

 

There are certain targets that needs to be met for the whole project to launch and give us the best chance to succeed. If the amount raised is insufficient we will make decisions together as to what is thee way forward!!
